Bring Back Manipulate Tool
Honestly the Manipulate tool is very helpful, getting rid of it and forcing some players to learn newer ways to manipulate the items is a bit painful, anyway we could get it back?

GenskinnerAgreed! The manipulate tool was quick and easy to use, and is arguably of the the most used tools. Would 100% be helpful to have it back. Making people edit and scale shapes just adds unnecessary steps.

LilDawgThe manipulate tool is very useful for terrain if your using spheres or tubes. Would be very nice if everyone has access to the manipulate tool again.

JupiterOnYTWhile editing an object, the scale tool is basically a manipulate tool.

Benaiah LandI agree totally! I don't want to have to only be able to scale objects. The manipulate tool heroes make the perfect structures.

ChocolateCakeI used the manipulate tool a substantial amount every time I went about building something, I was very surprised when I found that it was removed with rooms 2.0. I would love to have it back because it makes things a' million times easier.

TruchhiThe likely reason as to why the manipulate tool wasn’t brought over was because it directly edits into object containers, that’s something roomsV2 just doesn’t have, we have hierarchy building now, so I’d assume the manipulate tool would need to be recreated to support roomsV2

Gavin WardI don’t think we should add it back but instead remove the move and rotate features to focus on the transform tool.

KittumsManipulate tool is VERY important especially for tube manipulating, going into edit mode constantly just isn't viable

branchremoving manipulate has made it so inconvenient to use tubes

Donovan BrownThe Scale tool may appear to be the same as manipulate, but it is not. Manipulate was a QOL(Quality of life) feature yes, but it made so many things significantly easier that it doesn’t even compare to the Scale tool!

First off, you could manipulate objects as you held them with your off hand on VR, this made advanced modeling with spheres so much easier.
Secondly, you could manipulate tubes much easier and without editing them, meaning not only do you skip the two steps of editing the container and editing the tube, but also the step of pressing “done” to stop editing the tube. Not to mention this skips the editing stage of ALL shapes.
User “Truchhi” mentioned the removal is likely due to containers completely changing, which makes complete sense, however I still think it is worth recreating the Manipulate tool to work with Rooms 2.0, it would make building much easier, and a lot less time consuming! -

MesoCycloneRemoving the manipulate tool is by far the worst feature in rooms 2.0. the manipulate tool is by far a map creators best friend as it allows easy access to changing the shape of an object with out interfering with anything else about a shape. The Transform tool is unreliable i often find myself flying around way more then i should have to with it. while i do like the transform tool and it's intended function, the addition of the manipulate feature seems out of place. It having its own setting was never an issue. the removal of the manipulate feature from the transform function would also be a welcome addition as it would declutter the transform tool itself and make it easier for new creators to figure out what it does. the manipulate tool is also versatile enough to warrant the need for its own tab. I also cant help but point out the fact that the move and rotate features have remained discrediting any argument that states the manipulate tool is in the transform tab.

CollectorDespite the "Scale" tool being in rooms 2.0 and the new "manipulate" tool for rooms 2.0, it doesn't work the same, some basic props and shapes taking extra time to make using rooms 2.0, I've never used the scale tool, unless I'm scaling RRS stuff.

Insane4642Being a mainly PC screen mode build this was 100% the most used tool. Using the scale tool has so many more bugs with it when scaling really big objects or scaling down objects. So I 100% agree with you I hope they add it back.
